Does anyone else have to do that? What does it do really? Isn't it already too late if you have a fever?

I do! And I keep a temperature log for myself anyway. Of course it seems a little late once you have a fever as you were most likely spreading it without knowing it for like two weeks, but it shows when you could have possibly gotten it and if anyone else gets it around you, it can prove that you didn't have a fever before if that makes sense.
