Absolutely! Hokkaido has many beautiful places to see. You may not be able to see all of them in one trip, however. It is best to choose one or two locations. I recommend Hakodate.

Do you plan to come in winter? If so, do you like winter activities, and can you stand the cold and snow? Personally I can't stand the cold, but I love visiting Hokkaido in summer because the weather is mild compared to the rest of Japan's humid summers.
