I have one day set aside to visit a theme park (although plans are postponed indefinitely). Was thinking Disneyland or DisneySea but open to other options. Eg. I will be in Tokyo for half my trip and Kansai area for the rest.

I would do DisneySea over Disneyland if you already have Disneyland in your own country. It's very aesthetic and you can drink alcohol there too!

Disney is great, but if you're going to be in Kansai, I would consider Universal Studios Japan too. Especially if you like Harry Potter and other movies.

If you love the thrills, make the trip out to FujiQ in Yamanashi. It's about an hour and half to two hour bus ride out of Tokyo but if you go early in the morning and on a weekday, it's super worth it.
