The PM is responsible for the project outcome including key commercial figures. He/she can be understood as Sartorius representative to external parties, he/she leads the project, ensures the usage of an appropriate project management procedure & monitors the project process.

Responsibilities
• Assures fulfillment of both requirements of the project owner and director and project goals.
• Leads the execution team, including interface management
• Actualizes the project objectives for the entire project including satisfaction of internal and external stakeholders (time, budget, resources, quality)
• Plans and controls deadlines, cost, scope at gate and work package level
• Uses appropriate project management procedure/ process/ tools as recommended
• Manages commercial and top risks (identification, evaluation, definition of risk strategy, definition of measures and follow-up)
• Plans and controls necessary resources in all areas
• Solves problems within project team and escalates to the Steering Committee if needed
• Manages stakeholders
• Reports to external and internal stakeholders on project progress
• Manages change requests
• Supports contract management
• Actively promotes good cooperation within the project team
• Coordinates compliance with the company's health, safety and environmental requirements as well as all applicable local regulations and customer requirements at the sites
• Applicates compliance with all relevant internal rules (including project management standards) and guidelines including quality management
• Applicates lessons learned from previous projects
• Regular reporting / escalation to management and the Steering Committee
• Decision-making authority regarding changes, deviations and negotiations (in accordance with related processes)
• Influence on the allocation and withdrawal of project team members

Qualifications And Skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural Engineering or Construction Management or related field
• 5 years planning and construction experience; which includes 1 year of construction supervisory experience; or 9 years of progressively responsible construction experience, which includes 1 year of supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
