We are a busy family living in the relatively quiet suburb of Karen, Nairobi. We relocated from the North of England in August 22, although my husband has worked in East Africa for ten years.
The area we live in is peaceful, approx. 40 minutes outside the city centre.
- Job Description
I would love to host an Au Pair, to help out mainly with my younger son aged 6. This would involve help with homework, preparing simple snacks and supervising whilst he plays 2-3 afternoons per week after school. We have a full time cleaner so there would be little to no housework involved. There will up to 2 evenings of late babysitting per week, which may involve following a bedtime routine and preparing a simple supper.
- Accommodation
We have a large 4 bedroom house and the Au Pair accommodation would be in the ground floor guest room- a large bedroom with french doors leading out to the garden. The room has an en-suite bathroom.
The garden is beautiful and around an acre with plenty of outdoor seating, a vegetable patch and bee hives for fresh honey!
The wifi connection is great. If you know 'Out of Africa' our home sits on the land of her former farm, and the Ngong hills are a 20-30 minute drive
