Malawi Fertilizer Company (MFC) invites applications from suitably qualified and results driven candidates for consideration to fill the following positions which are tenable at the MFC Plant in Liwonde, Machinga:
ASSISTANT ELECTRICIAN
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Checking distribution boards and tightens loose connections and fixing other problems.
• Servicing motors and repairing all electrical and electronics equipment.
• Attending to all breakdowns in the factory and making sure they are fixed on time.
• Reporting to the supervisor all the problems found within the plant.
• Making sure everything is in line to safety rules and regulations.
• Ensure all safety working procedures are in place.
Minimum Qualification and work experience
• Malawi Certificate of Education
• Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Grade 2 trade Test Certificate.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar post.
BUILDER
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Ensures all buildings are built as directed by Management.
• Ensures that all the maintenance is done on time i.e. cracks on concretes and buildings.
• Fixing floor and wall tiles when need arises.
• Ensures all safety working procedures are in place.
• Ensures maximum productivity from the labours.
Minimum Qualification and work experience
• Grade One Trade Test Certificate or City and Guilds of London.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar post.
