POSITION: PROJECT OFFICERDUTY STATION: KASUNGUThe incumbent will work under the Youth and Agriculture, Climate Change and Environment thematic area being implemented by NfYD and will be expected to undertake the following responsibilities in relation to program planning and implementation, promoting organisation’s and program visibility, monitoring and evaluation including resource mobilization.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESFacilitate establishment or strengthening of the in school and out of school Young Women Can Do It (YWCDI) clubs.Work closely with other program implementing partners to increase effective youth and women involvement and the participation in all key program priority areas.Plans and coordinates district programmes and project activities following NfYD and donor guidelinesDevelops and submits work plans, concept notes and budgets based on the Project Implementation Plan to the Project ManagerDevelops and submits work plans, concept notes and budgets based on the Project Implementationm Plan to the Project ManagerDocumentation of success and stories best practices in promoting youth involvement in the agriculture sector.Build the capacity of youth, women groups and Small Medium Enterprises in value addition and agro processingEnsure all relevant data is collected, shared and stored appropriatelyParticipate in resource mobilization through development of project proposals for the district.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEMust possess a minimum of a Diploma in any of the following areas agriculture, community development or social sciences obtained from recognized institutions of higher learning.
