Job details
The Energy Management Engineer should monitor and manage the energy efficiency of the organization. He/She will implement conservation measures, monitor energy consumption, especially diesel consumption, assess business decisions for sustainability and seek out opportunities for increasing energy efficiency throughout the business with the guidance of the energy management committee
3. Data Analysis and identification of opportunities
• Analyse energy use and consumption per energy type (e.g. diesel, electrical power, etc) and operating area
• Ensure that early corrective action is taken if performance deviates from target
4. Project Management
• Manage current Energy Efficiency projects portfolio and ensure their implementation in accordance to company’s targets
• Implement action plans to continually improve energy performance
• Develop a reporting dashboard and generated success/gap within key energy management projects
• Provide technical expertise to implement project from concept stage to implementation stages
• Monitor results from projects
• Provide input into the capital and operations budgets and forecasts
• Ensure cost effective solutions and deliver results under the approved budget
