Our classes start from kindergarten to Grade 12 and offer different subjects such as English Language, Portuguese, Mathematics, Geography, Business Studies, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science.
We are looking for an experienced Portuguese teacher to join our bright team. If you love assigning books to read, reading poetry to students, informing students about authors’ lives and work, teaching reading and different literary styles, and having the ability to teach the discipline with patience and tact, let’s meet.
Your main goal will be to create a supportive learning environment that will help your students meet their learning goals. You’ll teach them the important rules of reading, writing, and speaking in Portuguese through interesting and diverse methods. You’ll oversee their progress by tracking their assignment and exam grades, in order to provide useful feedback.
As our English and Literature Teacher you will:
• Plan course material and activities
• Assess the students’ progress (e.g. homework, exam grades, etc.)
• Build trusting relationships with students, parents, and other staff
• Keep a record of students’ attendance and grades
• Research new language teaching methods
• Manage classroom crises and resolve conflict
• Inform parents about their children’s performance
• Collaborate with teaching staff and administrators to foster a good student experience
About you:
• You have a bachelor’s degree in education.
• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a teaching role.
• You have Portuguese proficiency.
• You have the ability to compile lesson plans efficiently.
• You have the ability to execute lessons with meaning, in a fun, and engaging manner.
• You have strong computer skills.
