Main Purpose:

Responsible for establishing LPG line of business for Puma Mozambique, accountable to the Regional Head of Africa and Country GMs for overall P&L for the LPG line of business; including gross margin, volume, costs, EBITDA target and ROI. Accountable for end-to-end delivery of LPG business from supply, pipeline, distribution, retail, sales and marketing

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy
• Drive execution of LPG strategies: Plan, build, develop, start up and lead the segment to deliver agreed business objectives and KPIs.
• Work with country GM to define and execute the LPG plan. Design effective channels and routes to market strategies. Monitor performance of each segment, manage issues and ensure targets are met.
• Provide expert knowledge and support to ensure operational excellence and standard application for the LPG line. Responsible to train the local team where necessary.
• Build effective relationships with local market stakeholders to develop key opportunities.
• Roll out programs to improve profitability of various segment of LPG.
• Source and develop distribution channels and retail sales outlets for the sale of bottled LPG.
• Contribute to the efficient supply chain design – including the layout, capacity and design of the LPG storage and filling plants.
• Comply with company requirements and systems relating to SAPS, HSEC & Quality and other company policies.

Stakeholder relationships
• Work with country GMs to define and execute the LPG plan. Design effective channels and routes to market strategies. Monitor performance of each segment, manage issues and ensure targets are met.
• Promote, build and maintain trusted and informative relationships with internal and external stakeholders within the region
• Manage expectations within mandate and protocol.

Operation
• Provide expert knowledge and support to ensure operational excellence and standard application for the LPG line. Responsible to train the local team where necessary.
• Build effective relationships with local market stakeholders to develop key opportunities.
• Roll out programs to improve profitability of various segment of LPG.
• Source and develop distribution channels and retail sales outlets for the sale of bottled LPG.
• Contribute to the efficient supply chain design – including the layout, capacity and design of the LPG storage and filling plants.
• Comply with company requirements and systems relating to SAPS, HSEC & Quality and other company policies.
• Support Country GMs and Regional teams to increase total shareholder return and optimize profit to ensure long-term financial viability.
• Support Finance Manager to obtain Capex and Opex in support of organizational business plans. Participate in the development and review of the financial best practices and model.
• Manage the centers of excellence within the set requirements to sustain and maintain growth and profitability.

Compliance
• Oversee and lead by example in accordance to the highest standards of Corporate Governance and King IV ® regulations.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and regulatory bodies is monitored on a continuous basis toward safeguarding the business and minimizing risk.

Culture

• Promote the organization to minimize waste and enforce a culture of short intervals of control. Evaluate negative trends and introduce remedial solutions.
