EME has an exemplary record in respect of its fishing operations as well as its focus on socio-economic investment and development, both regionally and nationally. We are looking to fill the following vacancy:
Fishmeal Operator
Purpose of the role: Responsible for the proper operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Fishmeal plant’s equipment and machinery.
Minimum role requirements & experience
• Minimum requirements - 5 years experience as a fishmeal operator on a meridian type midwater trawler (a relevant tertiary qualification will be an advantage
• Technical fitter knowledge and experience on repairs of fishmeal plant equipment
• Experience in the horse mackerel industry and/or on horse mackerel midwater trawlers (added advantage)
• Required to work pre-dominantly at sea.
