YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role,Technical Agronomist IV-Eastern Iowa, are to:

\tPlan and Execute field scale testing programs; \tPrograms include field testing of commercial Bayer seed products and Ground Breaker trials for new product launches from all platforms; \tCollaborate with Seed Dealers/growers to plant trials, collect required data, maintain and harvest trials; \tTechnical support and training for seed dealers and Bayer sales team; \tWork with Bayer sales team to achieve local business objectives through technical support, consultation and training; \tSeed dealer support provided strategically based on business priorities; \tEstablish and execute effective communication and training strategies with Seed Dealers Provide technical information for seed, trait and chemistry products; \tCommunicate agronomic positioning and benefits of seed and trait products and the benefits and uses of crop protection products; \tDevelop and instill confidence in product recommendations and Tailored Solutions; \tSales and business support; \tCreate annual Agronomy Business Plan for communication/alignment with Sales Team with strategies and prioritized activities to achieve business objectives; \tArea impact on business results for the Sales Team; \tPlan and executes tactics to support identified business strategies and objectives; \tActively participate in local portfolio management and future year forecasting; \tAssume Sales Team and/or Agronomy Team project leadership role(s). \tBuild profile as technical expert in territory; \tBuild presence and credibility with key growers, seed dealers, crop consultants and other key 3rd party stakeholders; \tReview claims to ensure proper guidance and resolution; \tResponsible to ensure a proper field visit was conducted; \tProduct stewardship and use recommendations for the local territory Compliance with Bayer safety and vehicle safety policies

Required Qualifications:

\tBachelors in agriculture or related discipline. Degree must be completed by start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

\tB.S degree with 10+ years of experience in agronomy, sales, field development or R&D related roles \tM.S. degree with 8+ years of experience in agronomy, sales, field development or R&D related roles. \tPh.D. degree with 7+ years of experience in agronomy, sales, field development or R&D related roles.
