Among Baker Hughes Product lines, PVS (Pumps, Valves and Systems) is the Center of Excellence for Centrifugal pumps and will develop innovative pumping solutions for a safer, cleaner and more efficient industry. As an Electrical/Instrumentation Design Engineer, you will work on Pumps in a collaborative environment based on a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to enhance the technical features of such a product.

As a R&D Electrical/Instrumentation Design Engineer, you'll dynamically participate into the re-design phase of existing electrical BoP layout, introduce new arrangement tailored for adjacent markets and perform research and testing on concepts identified to fit new stimulating applications typical of the Energy Transition.

As a R&D Electrical/Instrumentation Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Performing design and development activities of new products, executing the development and cross-functional project tasks and executing design, calculations, analysis or evaluation of assigned product, adhering to internal standards.
• Developing ideas and projects that include the execution until they become real product and contributing to new products creation and enhancements to current pump portfolio performances.
• Executing fast prototyping, new design tools introduction, debugging, verification testing and performance characterization of new concepts and products, development testing protocols: exploratory testing to define test equipment, test fixtures and test methods.
• Managing document technical data generation, providing timely communications on significant issues or developments, writing detailed technical reports based on design verification and testing for product development activities.
• Supporting market research to determine what types of products might be successful among consumers, collaborating with engineers and developers to create product designs and with marketing teams to develop sales plans for future products.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will:
• Be a fresh graduate in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering (preferred), with a basic knowledge of an electrical equipment design, able to manage technical documentation, International standards and codes. PhD in specific disciplines is also desired.
• Be eligible for Apprenticeship contract
• Solid Knowledge of Computer Science
• Have good IT and technical skills and ability to design schematics for potential products and execute validation routines
• Possess good analytical skills with proactive mind-set, with ability to perform many research tasks and create design plans for products, exploring IoT and AI solutions when identifies as viable.
• Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Be adaptable in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances in a fast-changing environment
• Have good verbal and written skills, be fluent both in English and Italian and hold an EU passport
• Participate to all phases of product creation and be part of multiple teams in the R&D chain, demonstrating initiative and perseverance
