Bantwana Zimbabwe (BZ) is seeking experienced candidate(s) to fill in positions for a USAID-funded project to reduce the vulnerability of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), and adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) to HIV and GBV. BZ is a leader in the development of high quality, comprehensive OVC service delivery in high HIV prevalence districts in Zimbabwe. BZ brings a significant track record of excellence and innovation in improving access to and quality of integrated OVC care and support, with a particular focus on strengthening coordination and layering of care, protection and support services across the HIV continuum of response, for vulnerable children and their caregivers at community, district, provincial and national levels.

The Data Entry Clerk(s)’ primary responsibility is inputting data and information into the various electronic databases for analysis, research, decision making, reporting and storage. Also assists the District SIE Officer District SIE Health Assistants in fulfilling the project’s recording, monitoring, and evaluation activities, this includes recording, collection and verification of data, data analysis and reporting on data, and storage of data.

DUTIES

Ensure complete, accurate and timely entry of data from all sites into electronic database

Data cleaning and recording errors encountered during data entry

Produce necessary reports from database as required by SIE Officers.

Respond to inquiries regarding entered data as requested by SIE Officers.

Maintain confidentiality of information collected through the electronic database.

Verification of data from source documents during entry and completing error logs for discrepancies observed.

Perform program support tasks such as ordering, photocopying and distribution of data collection tools ensuring all sites have adequate resources for sufficient data collection.

Assist in filing and maintenance of accurate records of all MEL activities within the allocated district.

Work as part of a team towards achieving the project’s objectives

REQUIREMENTS

A Certificate in Social Sciences or Monitoring and Evaluation/Statistics/Operations Research.

At least a year’s experience in data capturing or high-speed typing is an added advantage

High Computer literacy including MS Excel, Access and some statistical package(s)

Experience in OVC MIS/DHIS2 is an added advantage
