Job details

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and other accounting documents in compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards.
• Perform daily accounting operations, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring proper documentation and filing systems.
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of schedules and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with internal departments, such as Treasury, Risk Management, and Compliance, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Assist in the coordination of external audits and regulatory examinations, providing the necessary documentation and support.
• Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices, and make recommendations for process improvements.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance. Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Assistant Officer role.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of Hong Kong financial regulations and reporting requirements is preferred
