About Our Client
Our client is a well-known global leader in outdoor power tools/forest and garden machinery industry and is cooperating with all major original equipment manufacturers. Over 70 years history, Asia HQ in Hong Kong & China.
Job Description
• Identify and source new suppliers for textile related commodity.
• Implement purchasing and related company guideline/procedures.
• Coordinate and conduct supplier life-cycle management including supplier audit and release, evaluation and risk management with cross functional representatives.
• Facilitate contract negotiation process, take care of commercial clause finalization and coordinate with cross functional representatives for completion of the deal.
• Follow up on cost change, analyze change reason and market trend, provide reasonable solution for cost saving and optimization in order to achieve the assigned target.
• Coordinate related procurement activities including cost, quality and delivery management.
• Introduce improvement measures for suppliers to obtain continuous development process, support cost optimization and negotiation activities for continuous cost improvement.
• Support new product development, involve supplier to bring any possible technologies proposal to supply chain management as well as R&D for introducing product technical concept.
• Manage RFX and maintain close communications with the team incl. but not limited to Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) and material planner to make sourcing decisions.
• Other duties assigned by the Manager.
The Successful Applicant
• Holder of Bachelor Degree or above in Business, Materials Management, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
• Least 5+ years of hands on experience in **textile industry for machanic/electrical related commodities.
• Good command on speaking and written English, Chinese, spoken Mandarin is an advantage.
• Understand the market rules and distribution channels in different regions
• With good technical skills and business acumen.
• Strong negotiation and communication as well as analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PPT and Chinese word processing.
• Familiar with SAP system is definitely an advantage.
• Willing to travel 30-35% (mainly within ASEAN region and to Mainland China).
