The Registry is a key central administrative unit of the University supporting it in providing quality higher education. We administer and deliver a broad range of student and academic services, such as admissions, registration, quality assurance, class scheduling, examinations, and graduation. The Registry is also responsible for maintaining student records and providing secretarial support to Senate and its committees, and are integral in the governing of academic regulations of the University. We provide aspiring candidates with ample staff development opportunities and a promising career in higher education.

We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Registry:

Major Duties And Responsibilities

The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:
• Leading the Systems and Services section of Registry, driving systems development and improving functionality of Registry systems and web applications;
• Collaborating with internal teams of the Registry and the Information Technology Office to maintain and enhance the central student administration system;
• Developing quick solutions to streamline and automate operations and supplement the student administration system using emerging technologies;
• Overseeing the operations of Student Records Team and building statistical reports for management and external bodies;
• Implementing projects arising from the planning of Registry and University initiatives;
• Assisting in the formulation of policies and procedures; and
• Performing any other duties as assigned.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:
• A recognized degree, preferably in Computing Science/Information Technology, with at least 6 years of relevant post-qualification system development and supervisory experience;
• Solid knowledge in business process re-engineering, system design analysis, system implementation and project management;
• High proficiency in computer applications, including JavaScript/ Python, and SQL, and strong system sense for operation streamlining;
• Experience in RPA development;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua;
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; and
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
