Our client is one of the global law firms with solid operation of more than 100 years. Indonesia is becoming a key market within the South East Asia region and they are hiring a senior business development manager to join their elite team.

With their global presence, they will be able to provide the opportunities to cooperate with colleagues all around the world and their portfolio of clients comprises of leading regional corporations, and local companies across industries. To prove their commitment in Indonesia, they are looking to bring in a professional with combined business development and excellent interpersonal skill. This candidate will be focusing on the energy practices and will be a key hire for the team.

Job Description

As a part of the business development team, the selected candidate is required to lead by example, and they are expected to be hands on in the growth and development of the team by developing excellent client relationships. Other responsibilities include:
• Executing the firm's clients and market strategies through profitable growth.
• Identifying and generating leads, proactively introducing new clients, and improving client experience.
• Executing business development and marketing initiatives in accordance to the firm, both in local and regional practice group.
• Working closely with partners and associates in both Indonesia and within the region to deliver pitch materials, sometimes within the tight deadline.
• Being a strategic key partner in submitting proposal, and following up to the clients (leads, contracts, and proposals).
• Assisting in preparing and managing marketing activities such as webinars, events, thought leadership workshops, sales materials and capability statements - and working closely with the PR, social media and event teams.
• Regularly reviewing the system and processes, and supporting across the entire collection process.
• Developing excellent partnerships across the practice team, regional and global BD team and other support functions.

The Successful Applicant

Because of the highly competitiveness of the process, this role is only opened for Indonesians with excellent communication in Bahasa and English, and has worked in another professional services firm, preference in the law firm. To seize the opportunity to work for this highly dynamic client, you should be/have:
• Minimum of 5 years business development working experience in reputable company - ideally a law firm / similar setting.
• Direct experience in managing client (not only having direct access with the clients, but the ability to manage them).
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and decision making skills.
• Strong business acumen, self-motivated, excellent interpersonal and adaptability, energetic and result-oriented.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation and highly-organized.
• Ability to work independently and being very hands on.
• Proficient in time management, in both a remote and on-site model with global teams.
• A team player, positive attitude and high level of integrity and diplomacy.
• International mindset, and one who does not mind being an individual contributor.
