The Ethics & Compliance Officer will be responsible for deploying the Group's compliance program in his/her area, ensuring that the subsidiary comply with applicable laws and regulations, assisting all operational teams when they face compliance and ethics matters, and in any event implementing all the Ethics and Compliance initiatives decided by the Group.

This recruitment is a new position, the person will therefore have to anchor an ethical culture by deploying an effective local compliance program, in order to federate all key functions on these sensitive topics, and to be a real business partner locally with key support functions (purchasing, commercial teams…).

The position is part of Eramet’s Ethics & Compliance network: requires a level of Group-wide interaction, and full integration within the local team.

Dedicated to all ethical and compliance issues related to activities / operations that may engage the Group in the Indonesian area, which also includes any future project / development of the Group. The position will have in its scope all Ethics & Compliance issues related to local entities, Eramet subsidiaries and/or partnerships in this region. Regular travel will be required in Indonesia (Jakarta, Halmahera, Sulawesi, etc.) and in Paris at the head office.

Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance of the entity to Group standards :
• Promote the Group’s Ethic & Compliance rules, the Ethics Charter and the Anti-corruption policy in particular, in order to ensure a robust culture of compliance is embedded in the organisation, in close collaboration with the Group Ethics and Compliance Department;
• Liaise effectively with other Group functions relevant to E&C.

Design and implement local Ethic & Compliance strategy :
• Develop an annual Ethics and Compliance Roadmap;
• Identify,monitor and put in place all remediation action plans regarding the risks related to ethics and compliance (ABAC, …) ;
• Deploy the necessary procedures to ensure compliance and to address the risks identified;
• Develop regional initiatives to respond to identified local risks or new local regulations;
• Implement the third-party assessment system: identification of third parties at risk, implementation of specific action plans, support the Purchasing and Sales teams in carrying out due diligence on stakeholders in the region;
• Follow-up of the corruption risk mapping and its regular update with monitoring of local action plans;
• Supervise and implement the reporting related to conflict of interest declarations and gifts and invitations declarations within your scope;
• Supporting operational teams to ensure the compliance of local projects;

Raise awareness on Ethic & Compliance standard :
• Lead ethical on-boarding processes for new employees;
• Identify and ensure deployment of suitable trainings for at-risk populations and employees;
• Carry out and deploy communication actions, and proposing local initiatives;

Manage Alert System for entity :
• Under the express supervision of the Chief Compliance Officer, manage whistleblowing cases within the entity in close collaboration with the Group Ethics and Compliance Department;
• Follow-up and process the alerts received and manage investigations on express delegation from the Alert management committee;

Manage the Duty of Care Plan :
• Participate in the elaboration and monitoring of the Duty of Care plan in close collaboration with the Group Ethics and Compliance Department :
• Risk mapping;
• Develop and implement action plans;
• Exchange with local stakeholders and communities in the development of action plans and the vigilance plan;
• Liaise with the relevant departments, including the Social Impact and Human Rights Department;
• Ensure permanent implementation of vigilance and annual updating of the plan.

Profile:

Education
• Training on Ethics and Compliance, or 5 years of higher education (ideally in law), supplemented by a specialized degree in Business Law and Ethics
• Certified training in internal investigation (ACFE, etc.) would be an asset;
• At least 6/7 years of experience working in an Ethics and Compliance Department;

Soft skills
• Experienced in working under strict confidentiality;
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral;
• Ability to interact and navigate at all levels in the organisation including C-Suite;
• Ability to influence, ability to manage multiple stakeholders
• Excellent organisational skills, ability to prioritise;
• Autonomy, rigour, integrity;

Languages and IT
• Fluency in English is mandatory, Chinese and/or Indonesian would be a plus.
• Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, One Drive, Sharepoint, Teams).
