Delivers a wide range of Corporate Affairs products and services, typically at the BU/local level, covering two or more Corp Affairs Job Families (Government Affairs, Social Performance, Communications). Liaisons with the Corporate Affairs SMEs from these corporate Job Family groups.

Leads major functional projects with work reviewed only for achievement of results. Work often impacts multiple BUs, Region or Asset Class. Extensive knowledge of the work function.

• Under supervision and guidance of the EBU Corporate Affairs Manager provides support and input in developing and managing implementation of all aspects of Corporate Affairs Strategy for the Eurasia region and Kazakhstan with the objective of maintaining and enhancing Chevron’s positive reputation and image. Provides counsel to the management on government relations strategies, as well as the business relationships with the central and regional executive & legislative bodies.
• Actively participates in business meetings and negotiations with Government officials and business partners; provides in-depth information on political, economic and social environment in the country and industry to Chevron management; prepares briefing materials for meetings of Chevron executives with high-level government officials
• Screens and analyses important political and social events in Kazakhstan and provides timely update to EBU Management and Kazakhstan country manager. Provides advice on the progress and trends in Kazakhstan legislation, decrees, orders and other legal and political activities which may affect Chevron’s activities in Kazakhstan
• Coordinates Chevron executives visits to Kazakhstan, arranges and schedules high-level visits and meetings between Chevron management and Kazakhstan government officials.
• Represents Chevron in various industry and business associations including and not limited to the Foreign Investors Council under the President of Kazakhstan, KazEnergy Association, US-Kazakhstan Business Association, American Chamber of Commerce; leverage these associations for promoting company business interest and positions.
• Fill in for the Corporate Affairs Manager as required.
• At least five years of work experience in the RoK government as well as in oil and gas industry is mandatory. Fluency in three languages - Kazakh, Russian and English is mandatory. Wide range of skills required, including but not limited to project management, executive communication, writing and editing is required.
