Job details
Job Title: Proposal Engineer
Job subordination to Head of design department
Job Purpose Proposal Management excellence
Responsibilities
• To analyze technical documentation (drawings, specifications, scope of works, etc)
• To make an initial assessment of the technical, financial, timing and other conditions associated with a business request in cooperation with a team
• To organize internal discussions to identify an appropriate Proposal structure
• To communicate with Vendors & OEMs to obtain actual pricing details
• To make relevant registrations into the Vendors & OEMs pricing systems
• To prepare drafts of Technical Proposals, cover letters, other if needed
• To respect deadlines and make follow ups initiatively
• To consolidate and actualize all information related to the Proposal Management Workflow
• To fulfill the CRM system in appropriate way with a data related to Clients, Proposal details, etc
• Prepare internal reports and detailed analysis if needed
• Other tasks related to the Proposal Management Workflow
Requirements
Hard Skills:
• Higher technical education related to Design Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the areas of Industrial Design / Engineering / Automation / Control Systems, etc
• Knowledge / Background of working with Technical Documentation, Interaction with vendors and OEMs, Calculations, Proposal Preparation, team coordination
• Ability to work effectively with engineering documentations such as drawings, specifications, scope of works, etc.
• Knowledge of the main standards and norms of Kazakhstan in terms of process control systems, including the basic requirements and concepts of respective standards
• Full command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel sheets
Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical capability and attention to details within calculations, checking and summarizing
• Able to plan, prepare, coordinate and to consolidate all estimating activities
• Effective communication (written and verbal) skills in English and Russian, Kazakh will be a plus
• Analytical, system thinking mindset
• Fast learning skills
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member
