Position:

North Central District Health Department is recruiting for a full-time Information Technology Coordinator. This position is contract and serves under the direction of the Environmental Director. The salary for this position is $25.91 - $32.22 hourly. Some of the responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to;
• Coordinates all IT helpdesk activities including but not limited to assigning tickets, following through on ticket completion, and generating reports on helpdesk activities.
• SOP Development.
• Plan and implement new and/or updated technology solutions including new or updated hardware, software, and networking infrastructure.
• Monitors and reports to supervisor, the health of internal network infrastructure including routing and WIFI, backup solutions, cloud-based solutions, and phone system.
• Manages IT software licenses and support agreements with vendors.
• Procurement of equipment, software, services, licenses, etc.
• Maintain technology inventory.
• Manage and maintains user account information. Change passwords, creates/delete accounts, and implement group policy objects. Implement user security and permissions.
• Monitor all data processing infrastructure, to ensure that all devices are in working order; maintain repairs or adjust equipment as required.
• Monitoring and maintenance of local wide area network infrastructure including routing and WIFI.
• Provide Technical assistance and training to all Health Department staff in the proper usage of Health Department Information Technology.
• Review technical literature; attend meetings and training opportunities to remain current with scientific, educational, and medical developments related to information systems technology and the use of that technology.
• Work to ensure the agency’s website is secure and up-to-date with regard to content technologies.
• Maintain and routinely test all backup and disaster recovery plans and tweaking them when necessary.
• Responsible for secure print, copiers, and agency phone system.
• Ensure the HANDS box is working properly.
• Serves as the primary technical liaison between CDP, Kentucky State Local Health Operations, state contractors, and other state agencies. Understands how to support and work on these systems. Contacts aforementioned agencies when support is needed.

Minimum Education, Training, or Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and two (2) years of professional systems support experience.

Or
• Associate’s degree and four (4) years of professional systems support experience.

Or
• Six (6) years of technical or vocational systems support experience.
