ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

To manage Secondary Services (HVAC, Compressed Air, Vacuum & Suction Network) Infrastructure at Akora site in a safe and reliable condition so as to ensure delivery of uninterrupted services for production. Effective management of revenue budgets in own area of responsibility to ensure optimum utilization of company’s resources upholding company’s standards on quality and EHS

What You Will Be Accountable For
• Ensure effective maintenance of secondary services infrastructure in factory while keeping within specified Company Plan budgets
• Facilitate in successful delivery of all Capex and Revex projects related to secondary services infrastructure.
• Continuous drive towards energy conservation in own area of responsibility
• Ensure compliance to all regulatory requirements related to secondary services infrastructure.
• Ensure a continuous focus on EH&S in respective area of responsibility for closing the gap to zero
• Lead & inspire the Mechanical Contractors to willingly perform at their best, ensuring high levels of support to all functions.
• Lead the development of onsite mechanical contractors through active engagement, training, evaluation and feedback. Participation in H&S and job specific trainings, aiming to achieve ever improving standards of work quality, responsiveness and H&S standards.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers/contractors & service providing agencies to ensure a smooth & high quality delivery of services.
• Demonstrate effective relationship management with all internal customers that enables improved service levels and velocity.
• Bring out clear, innovative and out of box ideas to continuously improve service levels and projects in the department.
• Bringing about improvements in in the area of H&S in respective area of responsibility for closing the gap to zero

Essential Experience, Skills And Knowledge
• DAE (Mechanical)/Engineer of experience with operations & maintenance in a manufacturing plant.
• Should be self-motivated and needs to possess initiative, drive and leadership abilities to lead a team of contractual as well as unionized employees with Decision Making as well as Resource Management Skills
• Technical knowledge and hands-on working experience to handle maintenance as well as troubleshooting and operational issues
• Has good knowledge of Environment, Health & Safety, Processing & Factory Operations skills, personnel administration and its governing laws
• Full appreciation of financial controls, budgetary accounting, government and other controls, supplier evaluation and legal requirements for contracts / agreements.
• A high level of competence is required in decision making, resource management, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills as the incumbent has to deal and negotiate with Consultants, Contractors and Suppliers
• The job holder has to deal with diverse nature of jobs on a daily basis hence requiring open-mindedness and innovative approach towards conflict resolution.
