Main purpose of position

Currently we are looking for an Accounts Assistant in Islamabad, Pakistan to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future. It's a short-term contractual agreement of 1 year.

Main Responsibilities
• Payment processing and compiling underlying supporting documents and monthly bank reconciliations
• Basic Data entry/posting JEs in GL for monthly accounts closing and compiling data for WHT statement
• Weekly Income Tax payment/Quarterly WHT Statements, and PSID preparation
• Preparing inputs of computation for annual Income Tax Returns & for monthly/annual Sales Tax Returns
• Compiling invoices for tax computation for SRB/FBR
• Extracting data from accounting system and Sales Tax receivable reconciliation with return
• WHT Exemption applications for foreign payments and compiling invoices with relevant supporting documents
• Arranging, compiling vouchers/supporting documents and coordination/follow up for external confirmation
• Compiling invoices, Form M, affidavits, agreements/contract and other relevant supporting documents
• Submission of each case separately on portal
• Arranging swift messages for foreign lenders/suppliers etc.

Qualifications And Competencies
• MBA (Finance) / Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACMA)
• 1-2 years of experience within the areas of finance or accounting
• Preferred experience from the Renewables, other industries / companies
• Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• General Tax knowledge
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• You are used to changing environments and to quickly meet new challenges
