Job details
Roles & responsibilities:
• Build high quality, fault tolerant Comparison systems and products, owning all areas of implementation, frontend, backend, CI pipeline, automated test suites and operations
• Work with your product owner and business stakeholders to define the product and tech roadmaps.
• Engage with the wider engineering organisation, making sure your tech roadmap aligns with the other teams.
Minimum requirements:
• Experienced with JVM languages like Java or Kotlin
• Experienced with automated testing, e.g. JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber
• Experienced with Microservice frameworks e.g. Spring Boot, Quarkus or Micronaut
• Experienced with Observability i.e. Metrics, Logging and Tracing
• Familiar with Kubernetes and write your applications Docker first
• A technical leader, with prior experience managing and mentoring junior engineers and facing off to business stakeholders
• An Owner end to end, Frontend, Backend, CI/CD, Operations, understanding what it takes to build a resilient, scalable service and support it in production.
• A concise documenter who takes as much care of their README.md as they do their service interface.
Preferred:
• An obsessive automator who only wants to manually test things once
• A problem solver focused on user experience
