Job Description


【Job Purpose】
Sapporo IT team is the collective entity from several IT department, from Operation control, Infrastructure, Application operation and system development teams. Sapporo IT team leader has to manage this collective member’s team for delivering IT services mainly to Sapporo HQ end users.
When we will meet the shattering disaster, which makes to stop Tokyo HQ functions, Sapporo IT team leader has to lead the disaster recovery actions with Sapporo IT team member and other country support colleagues. Also, as BCP, Sapporo IT team leader should lead and manage IT services until when we will recover Tokyo IT team capabilities.
【Key Accountabilities】
Sapporo IT team leader should be the contact point for Sapporo HQ end user department. Which is not only for normal times, but also in an IT incident time.
When we have an incident, which has an impact to Sapporo HQ users, he/she has an accountability to explain them what is happened and how we will recover it.
And more, when we have a shattering disaster in Tokyo metropolitan area, he/she has to be the contact and control point for Sapporo HQ users and other country AXA IT service colleagues.
【Specific Activities】
Manage Sapporo IT team members as dotted report line. Also, keep the closely communication with each members’ direct report line leaders
Keep the good relationship with Sapporo HQ other teams, also attend Sapporo HQ managers’ committee.
Manage “War room” for IT incident, when we have an IT incident which has an impact to Sapporo HQ users
Manage “War room” for natural disaster, when we have a serious natural disaster in Japan and AXA Life Japan build the Crisis Management Team.
Lead DR drill for switching local HUB (data center) from Tokyo to Sapporo
 

Qualification requirements

【Experience & Qualifications)】
<Skills>
・At least 10 years’ experience in managing IT infrastructure based on ITIL structure.
・At least 10 years’ experience working in IT infrastructure business, unrelated to application programming.
・Overall IT skill and knowledge, which may be obtained as experience working in IT department / Enterprise Company.
<Qualifications>
・University degree level knowledge in Computer Science or other related engineering field
・Japanese/English skill to be able to use in IT business, reading, writing and conversation
<Soft Skill>
・Documentation/reporting skills to summarize and organize the reporting elements
・Leading and managing skill for IT infrastructure business, project or operations
・Strong leadership, which pulls together the related team/members not only working in Japan but also in other countries
【Critical Leadership Competencies】
・BCP & DR capabilities preparing for when Tokyo HQ lost the IT service delivery functions
・Manage the staff in a cross-matrix organization
【Key Customers, Committees and Projects】
・Customer service division teams, working in Sapporo HQ, working in JP building and ORE building
・Financial team and underwriting team, working in Sapporo HQ
