What you will do
The Market & Liquidity Risk team within Risk Control is now looking for an ambitious colleague who thrives in an international environment. We are looking for a person who likes to solve problems, approach new challenges, and liaise with the business.
As a 2nd line risk manager, you will play an important role in supporting the business and providing expert knowledge on specific subject matters. You will play an important role in taking Klarna’s risk management practices to the next level. We see that you are dedicated with the ambition to constantly learn new things and challenge the status quo. Strong communication in verbal and written English is required. In addition, you should have the ability to take lead and be comfortable communicating across the organization with senior management.

Day to day responsibilities:
• You will be a team expert in market risk and liquidity risk subject matters
• You will Lead and drive 2nd LoD risk management improvement initiatives which have a Klarna-wide impact
• Prior experience with applicable regulations is beneficial, such as knowledge about Interest rate risk in the banking book and the Liquidity coverage ratio
• You will provide independent validations to Klarna’s market and liquidity risk models
• You will liaise with 1st line on how Klarna can optimize its currency risk management within the Group
• You will have the opportunity to present and provide your opinions to management on matters that you believe can take Klarna to the next level
• Apply both a helicopter perspective as well as have the ability to go into details

You should have:
• 5+ years of relevant work experience with market AND/OR liquidity risk management
• SQL, Python, or other programming skills for analysis
• Regulatory knowledge/experience
• Passion for collaborating with colleagues across the organization
• You should be a team player
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
• The ability to take lead and be comfortable communicating across the organization
Previously you might have:
• Worked in a first-line or second-line role at a bank
• Worked as a quant with developing models
• Had a supervisory role within market risk and liquidity risk at a financial supervisory authority
