Band 8A Clinical Psychologist Post – Learning Disabilities

1.0 WTE Permanent

We are seeking a dynamic individual to provide a highly specialist clinical psychology service to adults with a learning disability for the post of permanent 1.0 wte Clinical Psychologist within Moray Health & Social Care Partnership and to support the work of the multidisciplinary and multiagency teams. This will also involve supporting and developing teaching packages and pathways, as well as service evaluation and development of psychological therapy services.

There are 5 other qualified staff working across Grampian within the community learning disability teams. There are close links with the D Clin Psych/ Edinburgh University and the service routinely provides core and specialist placements for trainees completing this course. The service actively supports practitioners’ clinical and research interests and there are opportunities for individual and group supervision.

Elgin lies on the South Coast of the Moray Firth, situated in the North East of Scotland. Moray is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The area also offers a chance to pursue a wide range of outdoor activities and sports. Moray boasts a diversity of landscapes which provide many opportunities to experience outdoor life and also many opportunities for those who enjoy arts and culture. Interviews will be held on (date TBC) via MS Teams. Candidates will be required to do a 10 minute presentation on ‘The value of clinical psychologists as part of community learning disability teams’
