KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for several MENA markets, completing the following functions. Partnering with the local country finance function, gaining in-depth knowledge of country issues and developing strong relationships. Analyse monthly/budget/forecast results, preparing commentary for senior global and regional stakeholders. Ensure integrity of the monthly/forecast/budget figures. Ensure integrity of the balance sheet. Detailed review of trading revenue results and provide commentary on variances to budget/forecast/prior year. Provide training in consolidation software and accounting advice to local finance teams. Provide support to the Senior Regional Personnel. Keep the Senior Regional Personnel updated on all matters of significance – key aspect 'no surprises'. Supporting the TB to Cartesis Reconciliations process. Assisting Financial Analysts with queries regarding Other Assets & Other Liabilities. Ensuring compliance of MADA submission from units and chasing any outstanding. Assisting in the reviewing the Trading pillars and contacting markets for corrections. Assisting with Intercompany balance sheet checks and following up with markets to correct any differences. Assisting with the Stats to Cartesis process and sending any queries to the markets. Assisting with the P&L check file (monthly and quarterly). Performing Access Review checks ensuring that users have the correct access, including emailing the markets for confirmation of users. Other adhoc projects as and when required.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Part Qualified accountant – CFA,ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent. Ability to identify and solve accounting issues. Strong analytical and communication skills. Proficient in Excel. Experience with consolidation software advantageous (e.g. SAP BFC or Hyperion HFM). Ability to command respect, provide leadership, and interact with senior management. Foreign languages a distinct advantage though not essential. * An outgoing, tenacious personality
