High School Setting, .95 FTE (76 hours per biweekly)

Seattle Children’s Athletic Training Program has multiple open Athletic Trainer positions in the high school setting, ranging from 34-40 hours per week! As an Athletic Trainer in our program, you receive:

The Athletic Trainer's primary responsibilities are providing superior rehabilitative care to injured high school athletes and educating athletes, coaches, Athletic Directors, parents, and the general public on injury prevention, rehabilitation, wellness, and other health-related issues. The Athletic Trainer will treat and prevent athletic injuries by developing therapies to reduce pain and improve mobility under the direction of a physician and will assist in exercise instruction and demonstration, athlete/patient evaluation, and testing.

Requirements

Required Education/Experience: - Bachelor’s Degree in a health related field -One or more years of relevant experience - Commitment to LEAN performance improvement Preferred: - Master Degree in health related field - Two years experience in an athletic training setting - Demonstrated successful experience facilitating classes

Required Credentials: - Certified by The Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer - BLS for Healthcare Providers - Current Washington State license to practice as an Athletic Trainer - Prior to the start of employment, individuals are required to submit a copy of a receipt directly to Human Resources (electronically) confirming they have completed the fingerprinting process as outlined by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI)

In accordance with new Washington law for healthcare workers, Seattle Children’s requires that all staff be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 on or before October 18, 2021, or before beginning employment for start dates after October 18th.
