SUMMARY: Tends machine that applies labeling material by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following
Other duties may be assigned.
Checks can codes for label being applied.
Selects label type and inserts label into machine.
Responsible for insuring that the correct label is being applied.
Must fan and inspect each bundle for I.D., color and quality.
Must check label I.D. code lines each time a bundle is placed in the labeler.
Required to pull one sample label from each bundle run. Sample labels are to be turned over to the Warehouse Q.C. Inspector on the hourly line inspection.
Mounts stack of labels or labeling material on machines brackets.
Fills glue container in label machine.
Flips switch to start machine that automatically applies labels to cans.
Observes labels during start up for defects such as crooked labels, blurred print, or off centered labeling, and turns knobs or repositions label bed plate to adjust machine.
Opens cases of labels.
Inspects for any defective labels.
Insures that casing, coding, and stacking are correct.
Records downtime for line on warehouse downtime form.
