Cotopaxi will be opening a popup retail store in Seattle, WA this holiday season. We are invested in the experience that a physical retail location offers our customer base. Through unique product offerings, exciting shopping experiences, and a knowledgeable staff we hope to wow existing customers and introduce new ones to the herd. We are looking for someone to lead our Retail Guides in providing the ultimate Cotopaxi experience to our customers in Seattle.

The Assistant Store Manager/Store Manager will be an integral part of the retail leadership and popup store team. Working to make the Cotopaxi popup store a great place for employees and an amazing place for customers to learn about great products that DO GOOD. This person will help build and grow one of the most exciting channels at one of the most exciting brands in the industry.

Responsibilities

Experiences:
• Ensure that every customer that comes through the door is assisted with the highest level of customer service possible from a retail store.
• Ensure all employees are educating customers on products and experiences.
• Inform employees and customers on Cotopaxi’s impact program.
• Inspire customers to get out and adventure by guiding them toward unique experiences locally, nationally, and internationally.
• Live the Cotopaxi culture and values and convey them to the customer.

Operations:
• Oversee inventory management, including: receiving inventory, processing, restocking and destocking, and visual merchandising.
• * Responsible for placing transfer orders via the allocation process for Seattle store.
• Ensure proper inventory levels of key styles.
• Responsible for turning products to the highest efficiency.
• Oversee Cleanliness of all areas of the store including fitting rooms, back-of-house, and front-of-house.
• Oversee product maintenance, including: folding, sizing, tagging, steaming, packing out, cleaning, etc. all merchandise.
• Open and close the store.
• Operate the point of sale system with management permissions.
• Create operating efficiencies in daily processes.

Community:
• Work closely with the Community Marketing team to provide unique experiences to the customer in and out of the store (i.e. hiking club, yoga, panel discussions).
• Oversee and execute events in and out of store.
• Guide customers toward experiences within the surrounding community.

Requirements:
• 1 - 3 years experience leading or managing a retail team and 3+ years working in a retail store environment.
• Flexible schedule, able to work a variety of retail hours and cover shifts for team when needed. Availability to work at least one weekend day.
• Able to move boxes and fixtures weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Able to ascend/descend ladders to service fixtures, lights, and window displays.
• Able to move and traverse within the store space to provide customer service.
