Job Overview (What You’ll Do)

Hey Utah, Cotopaxi looking for a new Photographer to join our Del Dia Studio Team!

Here at Cotopaxi we value building relationships and look to create an environment that welcomes people from all backgrounds no matter what their connection and experience is with the outdoors. People are always at the core of what we do and in this role they/she/he will help our customers find their perfect one-of-a-kind pack by capturing our Del Dia line’s unique colorways within every photo they take!

Do you love being behind the lens? Moved by color? Stoked on packs? As one of the Del Dia Photographers you will be working to help bring our colorful packs to life. Driven to support our customers, you will focus on producing high quality studio images for our Del Dia choice program. From staging to editing you will oversee the whole process alongside your team and prepare photos of each Del Dia pack to upload to our site for our customers to view. To thrive in this role you will keep efficiency in mind while letting your creativity and attention to detail (no strap lays askew!) shine.

Our Del Dia team thrives on teamwork and in this hybrid role we strive to build comradery whether you are working in the studio at our Distribution Center or at home editing. If you are seeking to refine and build upon your studio photography toolbox while sharing creative solutions, laughter and wins with a close knit team - the Del Dia Studio Team is where to do it!

This role sits on the eCommerce Team, reporting to the Del Dia Photography Team Lead, and they/she/he will be working in production studio photography setting to help bring to life our unique Del Dia line for our customers.

Job Responsibilities (How You’ll Do It)
• Support Cotopaxi Direct by providing high-quality images for Del Dia’s fast paced eCommerce photo studio.
• Organize your day - align with production goals by prioritizing day-to-day workload and set volume.
• Own the shooting process. Set up product shots, including selecting props and styling.
• Details matter to you. Follow category-specific style guides to ensure brand consistency.
• The prep work - process, name and prepare images for editing while following file naming conventions.
• Be an editing wizard! Edit all images in Lightroom and Photoshop with our standard quality for product listings.
• Elevate productivity - not only maintain, but help establish new processes to ensure workflow efficiencies and creative flexibility, while maintaining high volume production. If you see opportunities for improvement we want to hear it!
• Comfortable being on your feet and can relatively lift 50 lbs.

Job Deliverables (What You’ll Achieve)
• Support the eCommerce team by delivering high quality photos of our one-of-a- kind packs for our customers.
• Learn the ins and outs of Cotopaxi’s process from style guide, studio setup, and our creative software and programs.
• Continue to build and refine your photography toolbox - develop and hone your studio work and dial in your Photoshop and Lightroom skills.
• And to be a meaningful milestone in your creative career!

• Looks at problem solving optimistically and creatively - an out-of-the box thinker.

Your Experiences
• 18 years or older.
• 1-3 years of studio photography experience. Photography portfolio required.
• A degree in a related field or high school diploma is preferred, but not necessary - show us how your time as a photographer, your experiences, and degree can benefit the Del Dia Photography team!
• Comfortable being behind a camera - understanding of DSLR cameras, strobe lighting systems and tethered capture.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Lightroom CC, Photoshop and OS X.
• If you’ve got experience working in the outdoor industry, that’s cool too (but not necessary).
