This is a full-time, grant funded Regional Multi District Learning project manager position for the Fremont Multidistrict Initiative (FMI). This position includes the coordination and pathway implementation management across the 3 districts in Fremont County, Canon City RE-1, Florence RE-2, and Cotopaxi RE-3 and Pueblo Community College.

Program & Position Overview

Comprised of the three school districts in Fremont County, Colorado (Canon City RE-1, Florence RE-2, and Cotopaxi RE-3), and one institute of higher education (Pueblo Community College), the FMI was formed to address areas of common need for students in the region, allowing them to access additional opportunities for post-secondary success. The FMI plans to reimagine college and career pathways by partnering in a more deliberate and coherent way to ensure high quality programming is available to all students in the region, while piloting three shared pathways, Medical, Agriculture, and Environmental, with plans to build out additional shared pathways. In May 2022, the FMI was awarded the Rural Coaction grant through the Colorado Department of Education to drive this work over the next two years.

To support the regional work, the FMI is seeking a candidate who is both prepared and excited to serve as the Regional Multi-District Learning project management. Ideally, we are seeking candidates who possesses a background in education, work based learning, community engagement and/or academic advising. This position will be employed by Florence RE-2 District but will serve all of the Fremont County districts.

Essential Functions

This is a full-time position that will work year-round and includes the implementation support and management of at least three shared pathways across the region. These pathways will encompass elements of academic advising, work-based learning options, summer programming, industry relationship building, and professional development offerings to school stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities that align with the Regional Multi-District Learning Project Management include

Key functions include developing, implementing, monitoring, and continually improving the shared pathways to ensure there is alignment across counseling departments. This role will also lead on student recruitment, serve as a liaison to each district, and help to coordinate career connected and work-based learning opportunities.
• Recruit students and manage the pathway sharing of the Medical, Agriculture, and Environmental pathways
• Present current information about pathways to multiple stakeholders
• Act as the main point of contact for shared pathway programs. This includes but is not limited to: students, high school teachers and leaders, higher education institutions, and external partners/consultants.
• Develop processes and procedures for the shared pathway operations (including scaling, transportation, scheduling, and transportation support)
• Build with support academic advising materials for school districts to utilize during advising of pathways
• Create and execute professional development sessions for teachers and counselors about opportunities for students
• Conduct support events focused on course selection, concurrent enrollment, and pathways
• Manage data tracking information for each pathway
• Support the development and execution of a workplace skills “boot camp” for high school students as preparation for work-based learning experiences
• Identify and implement evaluation tools, gather and interpret data, and create reports based on information generated from participants and supervisors
• Update training manuals, marketing materials and other work-based learning-related documents
• Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications
• Desire to develop, manage and implement shared systems and processes across the Fremont County region for expansion of opportunities
• Bachelor's Degree with a preference for a focus in education
• Possess high level organizational and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability with collaboration, flexibility, vision, and implementation skills
• Experience as a project and/or program manager
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to create, refine, and implement systems and processes to improve operations
• Strong relationship manager
• Ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders in multiple contexts
• Attention to the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion in education

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in education
• Understanding of academic advising and counseling practices
• Understanding of college/career pathways, CTE, P-TECH, and dual credit/concurrent enrollment
• Background work in diversity, equity, and inclusion in education or other field

Compensation

Salary for this role is $55,000 with some flexibility for relevant experience for a 175 day position with full benefits and travel stipend included.
