Department of Plant Science: The Plant Science Department is a close-knit, experiential learning focused community where students get to know their professors well. The faculty member will teach undergraduate soil science courses, mentor undergraduate and master’s students on research projects and nationally competitive teams and develop high-impact teaching practices to develop an inclusive and highly skilled workforce of Cal Poly Pomona graduates. The person hired is expected to collaborate with peers in support of the Department’s Urban and Community Agriculture Minor Programwith enrollment from all Cal Poly Pomona majors and will have the opportunity to provide leadership to theHuntley College of Agriculture’s urban agriculture research, teaching, and community-engagement initiatives.
