Job Description
Summary
Help with the day-to-day activities of the Summer Day Camp Program and any other community center programs as assigned.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide supervision to a small group of youth ages 6-12, at all times, on site and on field trips.
• Complete all paperwork and administrative duties as assigned.
• Be aware of and follow all safety precautions and procedures.
• Responsible for making sure you always have copies of the registration forms for your group.
• Responsible for the implementation of program plans as assigned by the director or lead counselor.
• Help with the maintenance of all areas used by day camp.
• Conform to the weekly schedule by attending all staff meetings.
• Be aware of the mission statement of The Salvation Army and make every effort to be a positive representative of The Salvation Army, both on and off site.
• Take on other responsibilities as directed by the Community Center Director.
• Ability and willingness to promote and comply with the Mission Statement of The Salvation Army.
Qualifications: At least 18 years of age; some formal work with youth preferred.
Education/Experience: High school graduate; some college preferred
