ICU Head
Job Description:
1. Responsible for ensuring that the assigned wad is clean and orderly.
2. Prepares monthly schedule for the nursing staff and arrange annual leaves accordingly.
3. Register all admissions with complete information and fill out charts properly with clear handwriting and correct spelling.
4. Report any abnormality on patient’s condition immediately for physician.
5. Give all nursing cares and perform nursing procedures and activities as needed e.g. catheterization, NG tube insertion, NG feeding, suctioning, hygiene care, V/S, medication administration as well as care of IV sites etc……..
6. Count and check all medications during handover and sign.
7. Be well informed about each patients’ condition e.g. Diagnosis, Treatment investigation as well as full name, Room and bed number.
8. Visit patients regularly and not only on vital sign and medication time.
9. Write incident form on time as required
10. Borrowed items should be reported and replaced immediately.
11. Proved health education for patients and families according to the health problem.
12. Special attention should be given to narcotic drugs (count, register and handover cupboard key to the next shift. Cupboard key should never be left in the drawer
