Overview

Opportunity to work for the industry leading customer credit department for a top 20 Bank, with advancement opportunities both in the department and other functional areas of Commercial Services, CIT, and First Citizens Bank. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a select customer portfolio, that consists of highly visible customer accounts. Advanced financial/analytical skills are necessary to obtain, analyze and accurately interpret all levels of financial information, including liquidity, bank covenant analysis, cash flows, and financial projections. The position requires the preparation and presentation in written format a detailed and cohesive financial analysis/underwriting in the proper format. You will also need an understanding of CMS’ regulatory risk metrics system and its relationship to making sound and prudent credit decisions. Decision making is time sensitive, and the position requires the organization and prioritizing of the work assignment and managing the customer portfolio efficiently to meet specific deadlines. Time management skills and organizational skills are essential. Additionally, the applicant must recognize that CMS’ focus is toward servicing clients while simultaneously safeguarding the assets of CIT and ensuring adherence to credit policies, procedures, and standards in decision making.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers in the portfolio.
• Collection of information from various sources, including publicly released information and directly from company’s management on private companies.
• Analyze Customers on an ongoing basis and highlight problems or questions.
• Documenting file as to the credit worthiness of assigned customers.
• Prepare written reviews on companies relative to their financial strengths and weaknesses, with opinions as to their credit worthiness. Understanding the importance of cash flow, operating performance/trends, and liquidity and articulating in a memorandum format.
• Analyze loan agreements and covenant restrictions.
• Prepare accurate and detailed analytical memorandums on customers within portfolio
• Render decisions on credit limits in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform all responsibilities in accordance with First Citizens Bank’s policies, procedures, compliance, regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with customers senior management through verbal conversations to discuss operations and obtain financial information.
• Improving automatic approvals in the order queue.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or relevant work experience.

Other Qualifications
• Computer Literacy: Must be fluent in Microsoft Office programs, Excel analysis is required.
• Strong analytical skills and math aptitude.
• Self-Motivator with the ability to effectively prioritize work and deadlines.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established time frames.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently to meet the required deadlines.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally.
• Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills coupled with pragmatism and common sense.
• Decision oriented with the ability to support with sound reasoning and logic.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to discuss operations with Customers C-Suite.
• Ability and willingness to learn new skills
