This position offers you excellent opportunities to learn and grow through hands-on project experience under the supervision of a group of seasoned engineers and technical experts. You will have the unique opportunity to be involved in the whole cycle of projects from planning/conceptual design, to detailed design, construction, and operation. As an engineer in LCRA Substation Engineering Department, you will work on SCADA / Relay and Control designs, review "For Construction" and as-build designs, and work jointly with our planning and scoping teams.
You will be trusted to:
• Under the supervision of a Professional Engineer (PE)
• Perform engineering calculations and designs
• Visit project sites and document field observations
• Design and configuration of SEL-RTAC & GE Harris D20 RTU architecture
• Investigate technical issues and develop practical solutions
• Review project plans
You qualify with:
• Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science plus four or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job.
