conducts daily and weekly planning meetings to coordinate work plans and schedule maintenance activities with supervisors and management to prioritize work activities; makes recommendations to ensure maximum efficiency of ongoing operations. Receives and maintains records of work orders; estimates costs for labor, materials, parts and equipment and ensures their availability. Develops job/work scope for contractors. Works with project and supervisory personnel to determine any special instructions or considerations involving timeliness and/or availability of crews. Maintains records, executes computer programs and issues reports as directed to ensure equipment and systems are systematically maintained and accurate information is communicated to project managers, supervisors, or others directly involved in carrying out work plans. Assists with budget development and maintenance by providing reports upon request. Works with management and project managers by keeping them apprised of variances. Buys equipment, material and services by use of ProCard in accordance with approved Supply Management processes and procedures, reviews and signs off on all invoices for assigned areas up to approved limit. In accordance with approved Supply Management processes and procedures, evaluates bids, recommends best evaluated bidders and develops letters of recommendation for management approval. Works with maintenance, environmental, safety, and engineering staff to develop and update planned and preventative maintenance procedures for plant equipment. Performs work by traveling independently or with other staff to various locations (substations, power plants, water systems, etc.) as necessary to gather information through direct observation of sites. Provides day-to-day guidance and direction to less-experienced team members. You qualify with:
Five or more years of experience in work management, electrical maintenance, mechanical maintenance, plant maintenance or transmission system maintenance. A degree(s) in project management, industrial maintenance, operations management or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience. Driver's license. Knowledge of approved Supply Management processes and procedures Knowledge of work management systems(MAXIMO, PeopleSoft, Veritas) Knowledge of maintenance principles and methods Knowledge of project management methods and concepts Knowledge of budgeting and cost management Knowledge of accounting principles and practices Professional skill level in office productivity applications (such as Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.) Skill in creating work packages and job plans Skill in establishing and leading cross-functional work teams Skill in analyzing and solving problems Skill in verbal and written communication Skill in estimating labor and materials required for all types of maintenance work Skill in planning, scheduling, prioritizing and coordinating work within assigned work area Skill in communicating effectively with team members, supervision/management and external organizations under normal and emergency conditions Ability to work in a team environment Ability to balance competing and high priority work demands.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
