Working together with the Manager of Transmission Cost Estimating and other staff, performs complex and advanced operational analysis related to the LCRA TSC Transmission Services Improvement Plan (TSIP). Work collaboratively with key department stakeholders to ensure all project related costs are accounted for in every project budget. Assist manager with ownership and maintenance of estimating platform. Assist with post-project reviews of estimate quality on every project and provide feedback/lessons learned as necessary. Procure, maintain, and/or update benchmark/historical data as required. You will be trusted to:
o Provides strategic insights and recommendations for enhancing and developing new programs to management. o Performs business case analysis and/or feasibility analysis on multiple projects. Assists with research for, and development of, cost benefit analysis for various maintenance, rehabilitation and/or replacement options for specific assets, related to the strategic plan. o Assists in defining scope, recommends approach, and leads execution of strategic projects. Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost and ultimately achieve the desired outcome. Develops data-driven insights for delivery to an executive/Board level audience. o Assists in the development and implementation of operating plans, goals, objectives, priorities and procedures that are in alignment with the established strategic goals and objectives of the department. o Applies creative problem-solving skills to strategic issues. o Formally tracks and reports progress toward established goals and milestones for delivery of results. o Ensures appropriate records are maintained for budget requirements, management systems, policies and procedures. o Participates in cross-training activities, cross-departmental sharing of knowledge and, when appropriate, cross-departmental developmental assignments. o May develop and lead focused training as needed to support organizational needs and requirements. You qualify with:
- Six or more years' experience in capital planning, decision-making modeling, operations and maintenance planning, financial management, project management and strategic business support. - A degree(s) in business, economics, engineering, finance, math, science or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Business AnalysisEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications
