Job Summary and Qualifications

The Certified Central Sterile Technician is responsible for proper decontamination, cleaning, assembly, sterilization and storage of instrumentation for surgery and outside departments.

What you will do in this role:

You will prepare instruments and supplies through cleaning, packing, sterilizing and storing procedures.

You will understand principles of sterilization techniques and operates sterilization equipment.

You will assemble all instruments, trays, and drill drays for operating rooms according to policies and procedures.

You will perform equipment distribution and routing cleaning and maintenance.

You will perform crash cart restocking/exchange.

You will follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

What qualifications you will need:
• Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT) preferred. Certification required within 1 year of starting.
• Experience Preferred
• High School Graduate / GED

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is a 250+ bed facility. We are Tennessee's first comprehensive stroke center and a nationalleaderin neuroscience. In addition, we are equipped with 3 helipads, new ICU and Medical/Surgical floors, and burn care services. We offer a CARF accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation program and are an ACS verified Level II Trauma Center.
