My client, a global asset management firm, is actively seeking a Senior Web Developer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Web Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our web-based applications and platforms that support their asset management operations.
Responsibilities:
• Full Stack Development: Take a lead role in developing and enhancing web applications and platforms using modern web technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement feature-rich, scalable, and secure web applications.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers. Lead code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and promote best practices for web development. Drive the adoption of new technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve development efficiency and maintainability.
• Application Architecture: Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable web architectures for asset management applications. Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
• API Development: Design and develop RESTful APIs to enable seamless integration of web applications with internal systems, external vendors, and third-party services. Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of the APIs.
• UI/UX Enhancement: Collaborate with designers to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and optimize user experiences. Implement responsive designs and ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility standards.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute comprehensive unit tests and automated test suites to ensure the reliability and quality of web applications. Collaborate with QA teams to identify and resolve defects and ensure high levels of application performance and stability.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in web applications. Conduct profiling, monitoring, and optimization to improve application speed and efficiency.
• Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and industry standards to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Conduct vulnerability assessments and apply necessary security patches and updates.
• Documentation and Maintenance: Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, coding guidelines, and release notes. Provide support and maintenance for existing web applications, including bug fixes, performance improvements, and feature enhancements.
What you offer:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a web developer, preferably in the asset management or financial industry.
• Strong exposure using Wordpress
• Strong proficiency in web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
• Solid understanding of server-side languages such as Java, .NET, or Node.js.
• Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
• Proficiency in database technologies such as SQL and experience with ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate, Entity Framework).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of software development best practices, including version control (Git), Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with data visualization libraries and tools (e.g., D3.js, Tableau) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to design and develop innovative solutions to complex business requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
