The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels (owner and operator of The Peninsula Hotels, The Repulse Bay and many high-profile assets globally) is seeking to hire a People and Culture Manager, based in our Corporate office located in Central, Hong Kong. This critical position plays a key role in supporting the corporate office functions pertaining to HR matters as well as acting as a strategic HR advisor to functional leaders.

Key Accountabilities
• Act as a strategic Business Partner to functional leaders by providing HR advisory pertaining to talent acquisition, rewards, leadership & talent development, employee relations & engagement, performance management and succession planning.
• Support commercial objectives through the implementation of people strategies considering local and international factors.
• Drive and champion impactful People and Culture strategies and workplace initiatives that cover the entire employee lifecycle, as well as employee engagement, compliance, regulatory adherence, system utilisation, payroll, offboarding etc.
• Act as a subject matter expert on HR related policies and practices while resolving employee relation matters.
• Support and champion the unique HSH workplace culture by being a visible BP.
• Implement a continuous improvement mindset by researching and implementing emerging trends within the HR landscape.

General requirements
• Degree holder of Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Hospitality or related disciplines.
• Minimum 5-7 years’ relevant experience, ideally from multinational company and with regional/global exposure.
• Well-versed with the local Labour Ordinance and HR best practice
• Previous experience in training is an advantage.
• Strategic, commercial with exceptional presentation, influencing and senior stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese
• Exceptional personal presentation
