Job Description
The Foundry Technology and Engineering (FTE) team is responsible for supporting programs across Intel with external foundry and OSAT engagements, spanning Pathfinding to New Product Introduction. Located in the Global External Manufacturing and Sourcing (GEMS) organization, FTE's mission is a key part of Intel's IDM 2.0 strategy.
We are seeking an experienced team member to drive strategies and collaboration efforts to accelerate IP porting for leading-edge process nodes. In this role, you will be responsible for working with Foundries, EDA Suppliers, and Internal Design Partners to improve process porting capabilities to accelerate Intel's product time to market. This includes optimizing design porting within foundry nodes and between foundries to take advantage of capability/capacity/cost. Responsibilities span multiple FTE teams, as well as partnering within the GEMS Organization, Intel Technology Enablement Group, Intel Business Units, and Intel Supply Chain.
In addition, this candidate will support IP/EDA strategy and initiatives function in a matrixed role to our IP/EDA team and Platform Planning team.
Required Skills:
• Process node evaluation for foundational IPs
• Experience with standard cell mapping across different nodes/foundries
• Experience with development of automated process device mapping for ease
of IP evaluation and porting
• Excellent communication and customer interaction
• Analytical, problem solving and an ability to influence
• Self-starter who can deal with and resolve ambiguity
• Works well both independently and collaboratively with peers
• Expertise with EDA tools and IP design tools/flows/methods
• Experience collaborating with suppliers on solutions
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Device
Physics, or any other science or engineering related field
• 10+ years' experience in IP/SoC Design.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of industry standard EDA tools and flows for digital or analog design.
• Experience with Analog IP porting
• The ability to drive initiatives from concept through implementation
• Semiconductor Technology landscape or ecosystem analysis experience
• Knowledge of Fab Process
