The ideal candidate will have an ability to create and maintain an efficient planning of operation to support the event or group needs. The candidate should be comfortable multitasking and working cross-functionally with different clients and projects. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in related fields.

Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain business standards for accuracy, productivity and reliability.
• Manage the daily functions of the groups in-house.
• Manage budget to align with goals of business.
• Participating in Operations team meetings and Pre-con meetings.
• Operate events and programs from beginning to end.
• Orders, confirms and re-confirms all suppliers, develops relationships with supplier/partners, negotiates and contracts terms-of-service and price including, but not limited to service expectation levels, guarantees, cancellation, billing information, directions, etc.
• Modify reservations for venues, restaurants, guides and suppliers as program changes.
• Completion of paperwork including pre-program planning and invoicing (incl. Day-by-Day, manifests, signage, and all program required documents).
• Support the Sales and Ops Department with client site inspections, letters, development, contracts with various local hotels and suppliers, FAM trips organizing, etc.
• Working closely with the Sales and Production Teams to develop, plan, and deliver client events.
• Update supplier’s price list periodically, liability insurances, and additional required information.

Qualifications
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry.
• Minimum MAVO education.
• Own transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Positive attitude and people skills to professionally interact with customers and vendors in person, calls, and emails.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in English, Spanish, Dutch, and Papiamento.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and constantly changing workload.
• Strong ability to multitask, work with deadlines.
• Strong ability to delegate, manage, and lead teams.
• Strong ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Strong ability to negotiate, manage, and nurture vendor supplier relationships.
• Strong ability to multitask and manage multiple projects for various clients while meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of the island (history, culture, landmarks, etc.).
• Ability to work flexible hours: office hours, weekends, frequent evenings, and some holidays.
