PURCHASING COORDINATOR

Summary

Conch Charters is looking for an experienced professional with extensive knowledge of marine parts to manage the in-house stores and parts inventory.

What You Will Be Doing
• Creating and placing purchase orders with our suppliers.
• Identifying most cost-effective suppliers for parts ordered.
• Working with technical team members to ensure they have the right part for the job on hand.
• Ensure in-house stores are well maintained, with parts placed in the correct shelves, and stock replaced as required.
• Ensure physical stock inventory matches the inventory on the POS system.
• Resolving delivery issues and invoice queries.
• Updating the stock management system.
• Order processing / confirmation of order receipts.
• Proactively identify stock shortages.
• Help provide solutions to potential supply risks.
• Generating monthly reports for each yacht in fleet.
• Clear items into the territory from BVI Port.

What We Are Looking For
• Experience in the marine industry in the BVI is desirable.
• Previous experience of in a similar role desirable.
• Good knowledge of marine parts and suppliers.
• An understanding of BVI customs procedures to clear items into the territory.
• A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Accept and carry out instruction with minimal need of supervision.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
