This is a remote position. However, we require applicants to reside in the United States.

What you'll be doing:

You will own the top of funnel and will focus on prospecting, educating, qualifying, generating, and scheduling qualified meetings for our Account Executives and be an essential part of our overall growth.
• Following up on inbound marketing leads as well as mining your territory for new future clients through research and discovery
• Performing lead-generation activities into new targeted accounts and following up and engaging dormant accounts
• Engaging prospects through a multi-channel approach - via phone, email, LinkedIn, Video, etc. to d evelop relationships with individuals and departments at all levels within prospective client organizations
• Documenting activities and notes in our CRM / Sales Engagement tool to "keep everyone in the know"
• "Intercomming" within prospective client organizations
• Educating and teaching prospective clients and enthusiastically representing DataServ's solutions
• Shepherding future clients through their journey, problem solving along the way and clearing any roadblocks in their path to seeing the value our solution delivers
• Understanding our buyer personas and the needs and pain points of our target market
• Working together with the team to establish, execute and share successful prospecting techniques; test and optimize outreach tactics, cadences and messaging and provide feedback and ideas to continue to improve, grow and increase conversion
• Keeping your finger on the pulse of the trends and news of our target market/industries and our competitors

What you'll bring:
• 1-3 + years of lead generation and prospecting experience and success in a SaaS or Platform BDR role (even better if within FinTech)
• Rockstar sales-hunter skills - You have carried a quota tied to cold outbound meeting setting and consistently met/exceeded said quota
• Strong track record in a fast paced, engaging, tech-centric environment
• Executive presence - authentic, respectful, caring, and kind
• Excellent research skills and attention to detail
• Know how to analyze industry drivers, business challenges, and target buyers
• You have experience running preliminary sales conversations designed to establish fit and interest prior to passing to an AE.
• Flexible resiliency - you can think on your feet and switch priorities to keep up with a dynamically changing environment
• Ability to be adaptive to the rapid change and ambiguity that comes with being in a fast paced, growing organization
• Confidence to tackle challenges and difficult conversations head-on
• Interest in working both collaboratively and independently, willingness to share what's working and what's not

Bonus Points
• Have prior experience selling SaaS and calling into the financial suite
• Experience with sales tools including, but not limited to: Salesforce, Zoom, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Vidyard, SalesLoft (or similar solutions).
• You have received Formal training on some branded sales methodology (Sandler, MEDDIC, Challenger, or BDR academy, etc.) is helpful.
