Job Summary (Essential Functions
Ensures that the Pool Entrance is an inviting place that is well-stocked, clean, and organized for members’ enjoyment as well as the overall operation of the facility. This position is from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations
• Develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
• Ability to clean and maintain the pool entrance to required cleanliness standards.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.
Job Tasks/Duties
• Cleans the Pool Entrance area and wipes down equipment at least once daily or as often as needed.
• Greets users of the Pool Entrance; has them sign in; maintain files of swim test results and other information.
• Records member information for special events.
• Attends all training sessions and regular staff meetings; researches assigned projects and topics; provides continuing education services to other staff members.
• Cleans bathrooms when immediate attention is required.
• Monitors attendance and bills attendees through POS system.
• Promotes swim lessons and private events.
• Assists with special events when necessary.
• Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience
• Some High School required.
Licenses and Special Requirements
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certification preferred or will obtain within 90 days of employment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment, which is typical of this position.
• Continuous standing and walking.
• The environment of the Pool Entrance is warm and humid.
• Able to lift, pull or push 15 pounds
