The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading and executing sourcing strategies to attain targets.
• Directing and overseeing the organization’s purchasing functions.
• Negotiating large purchase contracts and ensuring the best terms and conditions.
• Developing policies related to the procurement of goods and services.
• Reducing the number of suppliers and ensuring the cross-functional total cost of ownership supplier offer selection.
• Analyzing categories of spend to determine potential opportunities regarding cost optimization.
• Ensuring compliance with commercial/technical requirements.
• Coaching, motivating, and developing team members and ensuring high operational standards.
• Providing leadership on all aspects of the supply chain function and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to create effective supply chain management strategies that meet customer needs.
• Planning, implementing, and controlling the operations of the supply chain from point of origin to point of consumption.
• Driving profitability and productivity across demand planning, supply planning as well as new product planning processes as required.
• Ensuring the effectiveness of inventory management, capacity management, supply chain processes, and systems.
Ideal Profile
Skills required:
• You have at least 5 years of experience ideally as a Supply Chain or Buyer / Procurement within Manufacturing.
• You possess good knowledge of tax and process regulations with respect to the import and export of products.
• You possess excellent negotiating skills with a strong ability to influence people of all levels.
• You are a strong networker & relationship builder
• You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard
• You are a strong mentor and coach who builds high-performing teams
